As the name would imply this style is easy, lose, and relaxed. The pieces are sparsely embellished, sometimes with traditional adaptations, but more often in whimsical forms. Many different species of wood are used in the manufacture of this style and designers often mix them in the same home, or even room. You won’t have trouble identifying decorative pieces from this category; they just feel comfortable. They also don’t seem to have distinct period treatments. Don’t be afraid to incorporate some of them into your home, regardless of the underlying theme; we encourage it.
